We had some friends over for dinner recently. I served tortilla chips as a pre-dinner snack and I wanted to make a fresh alternative to guacamole. Green pea wasabi dip. The color was beautiful, the texture creamy and the flavor light, fresh, yet with a bite.
- 1/2 cup / 120 ml frozen peas, slightly thawed
- 1/2 cup / 120 ml sour cream + 1 tbsp
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Wasabi paste to taste
- Blend peas with sour cream, lemon juice, salt, pepper and wasabi paste.
- That’s it. Just season, serve and enjoy.
Keep the peas slightly frozen, it will keep the dip from being too thin. If it does gets too thin, then you can always stir in a little thick sour cream after blending the dip. Don’t forget to adjust the wasabi.
